Welcome to Solomon Elementary School

We are located in the midst of Schofield Barracks Army Base. Our school colors are purple and gold and our school mascot is the lion cub. We are proud that our school is named after a highly decorated soldier who served his country, family and community with pride and honor. He was a decorated combat veteran of both Korea and Vietnam, who loved children and music.

Solomon's school colors and location have much significance and historical linkage. In ancient times, the land that our school sits on was the training grounds of the King's elite warriors. The color of the monarch was purple. It is with pride that Solomon Elementary continues the tradition of educating the future leaders and warriors of tomorrow on this historical land.

Our faculty and staff service 1200+ students who are enrolled in grades kindergarten through grade five. Ninety-nine percent of our students are military dependents. Because of this, we are fortunate to have a strong partnership with the Tripler Army Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division which meets the needs of our school based mental health program.

Many of our staff members have served our community during Desert Storm, 9/11, and throughout the Middle East conflict. A number of them are military spouses so they are very empathetic to our family needs as deployment and redeployment continures.

We provide a standards-based educational program that addresses the needs of your child; academically, socially and emotionally.

E komo mai. Welcome to our school.
